The pitch itself has been left in a sorry state of affairs in its current condition, with shards of broken glass in amongst the existing ground that was churned up. Broken glass and byproducts from the glass factory (when it was formerly known as Pilkington’s) were used to form the top banking on which the pitch is situated. Was this considered when the decision was made to plough the field? In its current state the pitch is a hazards to dogs and dog walkers should they fall. What is being done to mitigate this risk?”
